About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a positive and energetic Student Experience Officer to join our team at the Adelaide campus.
This role is pivotal in delivering an exceptional student experience by guiding students through their life cycle, providing pastoral care, and supporting their overall welfare. Collaborating closely with other teams across the campus and the wider business, our goal is to provide the ultimate student experience.
Other Key Responsibilities will include:
- Serve as the first point of contact for KBS students (on campus and online), delivering a welcoming and supportive service.
- Provide high-quality customer service with accurate advice on KBS programs, services, and academic progression.
- Coordinate and deliver key student events such as Orientation and Graduation.
- Contribute to the Student Ambassador Program, a program designed to empower students by representing KBS in internal and external initiatives.
- Support students in areas such as academic performance, attendance, and welfare, including processes like deferrals, withdrawals, and course changes.
- Assist students in adjusting to Australian culture and academic life as international students.
- Manage and maintain the student portal with up-to-date information on pastoral care and support services.
- Communicate professionally with students via email, phone, and in person, ensuring timely responses to enquiries.
- Collaborate with academic staff on student performance concerns, escalating issues to the Campus Manager when appropriate.
- Foster a positive, student-centric team culture while ensuring compliance with policies and contributing to a safe, inclusive workplace.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is approachable, proactive, and passionate about delivering high-quality, holistic support to students.
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
- A positive, supportive communication style and experience working with a variety of stakeholders
- Knowledge of key legislation and frameworks relevant to international students, including the ESOS Framework and National Code
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple activities with minimal supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new systems
- A self-starter mindset with strong attention to detail and a professional demeanour
- Flexibility to work rostered shifts during operational hours: 8:00 am – 8:30 pm, Monday to Friday
