We are on the hunt for an Assistant Venue Managers for The Den Salamanca. The right candidate drawn to this role will be a passionate team developer and hospitality professional.

Situated along the popular Salamanca Place, The Den is a exciting ode to Tasmania wrapped up in one of Hobart's most popular cocktail bars! Where a passion for ahead of the curve hospitality and business converge, we're excited to be offering a role that center's around both.

Key responsibilities will include:

Managing front of house service; including the team and guest experience.

Assist in maintaining a motivated, well-trained, talented team.

Oversee the daily standards and quality of service, venue presentation and maintenance needs as they arise in the business.

Conduct general duty management operations (e.g. cash handling, reconciliation, reporting, on-shift labour management and daily timesheet approvals).

Undertake team onboarding, recruitment, and training for all levels of staff, adequate to their level of expectations.

Act as the leadership touchstone between the bar team and VM/Head Office

Be the lead on bench planning your team alongside the VM

Undertake team rostering, monitoring and reporting by weekly KPI analysis.

Observe and identify opportunities for business growth that take our business to the next level!

What we're looking for:

At least 2+ years industry experience (previous senior leadership experience is advantageous)

Dedication to hospitality and customer service

Effective communication

Proactive problem solving

A positive and enthusiastic attitude

An eagerness to learn about business management

Night & weekend availability

Valid RSA certification
