The Role
As an Administration Officer for our IT Services team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all digital applications are delivering a quality service for the business. Working under general guidance and within set guidelines, you will undertake a range of administrative tasks, assist senior employees with specific projects, and support the IT Manager in delivering IT services to the Society. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our IT operations.
Key responsibilities:
- IT Hardware Ordering: Maintain IT hardware ordering for the Society, including end-user devices, phones, computers, and network/IT infrastructure devices.
- IT Asset Management: Maintain IT ordering and asset systems, ensuring accurate data maintenance in finance systems.
- Vendor Liaison: Liaise with hardware and software vendors, staff members, and volunteers to ensure a quality experience.
- Billing and Invoicing: Manage billing and invoicing issues and enquiries for IT vendors and internal stakeholders, escalating issues as required.
- Administrative IT Project Tasks: Work with the IT Manager and IT Project Manager to perform administrative IT project tasks as required.
This administration role will support our IT Services team, interest in IT Operations is a plus.
This is a Full-time, Permanent position (38 hours per week) based in our State Administration Office in South Brisbane.
To be successful in the role, you will meet the following criteria:
- Minimum Certificate III in Business Administration, IT or equivalent professional experience
- Previous experience in a high-volume administration support role
- Previous experience in the management and support of staff and/or volunteers
- Knowledge of IT terminology is essential
- Microsoft Office suite proficiency with advanced aptitude in Word, Outlook and Excel
- Exemplary phone manner and a professional attitude which promotes SVdP’s core values
- Ability to work with a diverse range of key stakeholders
- Personal aptitude for attention to detail and data accuracy
- Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society.
