Senior Payroll Advisor

Location: Kensington, WA
Duration: 6-month fixed-term contract
Days: Monday – Friday
Hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm (flexible with start/finish times)
Salary: $90,000 + Super per annum
Start: Immediate (by Monday, 10 November)

We’re looking for a capable Senior Payroll Advisor to manage and process payroll across three business entities. This 6-month contract will suit someone confident in end-to-end payroll operations who can step in and keep things running smoothly from day one.

What you’ll be doing:

• Overseeing and processing end-to-end payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payments.
• Reviewing and reconciling payroll data, including timesheets, leave, overtime, and deductions.
• Maintaining compliance with tax, superannuation, and employment legislation, and preparing related reports and filings.
• Supporting and mentoring payroll staff with guidance, training, and quality checks.
• Liaising with HR, Finance, and external auditors to resolve discrepancies and support reporting requirements.

What we’re looking for:

• Availability to commence immediately (essential).
• Previous experience as a Senior Payroll Advisor (or similar).
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Proven end-to-end payroll management experience, ideally across complex or high-volume environments.
• Deep knowledge of payroll legislation, awards, taxation, superannuation, leave entitlements, and Fair Work regulations.
• Proficiency in payroll systems and software (experience with multiple platforms highly regarded).
• Ability to provide a National Police Clearance within 6 months (or willing to obtain).
