Roper Gulf Regional Council is located in the southeast of the top end of the Northern Territory bounded by the southern Kakadu escarpments, the northern Barkly Tablelands, the Gulf of Carpentaria, and the Queensland border. The Councils area spans 201,000 square kilometres – almost three times the size of Tasmania – making Council’s operational footprint one of the largest in the Northern Territory.

Roper Gulf Regional Council is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as Infrastructure Support Officer.This role involves providing confidential executive support to the General Manager and assisting the team with infrastructure projects, contract management, and asset management. The successful candidate will ensure a professional and courteous service to all customers, enhancing the Council’s positive image.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Diploma or Advance Diploma in Business Administration or similar and/or a minimum of two (2) years relevant experience.

Previous experience providing executive assistance to Executive Management level in a professional environment.

Exceptional interpersonal skills, including demonstrated experience liaising with a wide range of internal and external clients to build and maintain relationships.

Proven ability to provide training and guidance/mentorship in a cross-cultural environment and across varying levels of literacy and English language proficiency.

High level administrative skills including word processing, agenda and minute preparation, diary management, report collations.

Benefits:

Salary: $89,905.15 - $98,881.53per annum (negotiable based on qualifications and experience) plus Superannuation.
