For Mechanical Maintenance Fitters and Maintenance Mechanics to ensure optimal plant availability and equipment reliability at a leading food production facility.
A permanent full-time role working standard shifts with overtime during production peaks within a proactive and structured maintenance environment.
- Requires: Proven mechanical fitting and machining skills including milling, turning, and fabrication with TIG/MIG/MMA welding.
- Salary guide: $120,000 - $140,000 per annum.
- Location: south-western region of Western Australia.
Your normal day will involve:
- Executing planned maintenance work orders daily, weekly, and monthly in MEX system to uphold 100% plant availability.
- Carrying out timely breakdown repairs and fault-finding on fast-paced food manufacturing equipment during production.
- Fabricating, welding, machining, and assembling machine components with precision.
- Maintaining and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pipe cutting, threading, bending, and installation.
- Supporting continuous improvement projects and assisting engineering teams with testing and equipment upgrades.
- Ensuring workshop and tools are maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
This Mechanical Maintenance Fitter role requires a hands-on professional with strong machining and fabrication capabilities alongside excellent fault-finding skills. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of plant equipment, including electrical installations, to maximise uptime in an environment where safety and efficiency are paramount.
