This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team working on the rehabilitation of the former Rum Jungle Mine Site, located in the Northern Territory.

Nestled alongside the pristine Litchfield National Park, rehabilitation of the former Rum Jungle Mine site will showcase leading practice techniques and an evidence-based approach.

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Team Leader to lead a small team of Land Management Technicians in delivering on-ground environmental management activities. This hands-on role involves coordinating and undertaking a variety of land management tasks including weed control, fire mitigation and controlled burns, revegetation, feral animal management (camera trapping), and minor infrastructure maintenance. The position also provides field support to the Health, Safety and Environment team as required, ensuring all work is conducted safely and in compliance with workplace health and safety standards.

The ideal candidate will hold a Certificate II in Conservation and Land Management or equivalent experience, preferably within the mining or civil industries. You will demonstrate strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team to achieve operational goals. Practical experience in land management techniques such as seed collection, propagation, erosion control, and pest management is essential, along with good communication, problem-solving, and time management skills. A sound understanding of cultural sensitivities and experience working effectively with Aboriginal people are also required, as is a current NT Class C driver’s licence.
