About the roles

Positive Practices' is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Behaviour Practitioners & Team Leaders to join our dedicated team in Darwin, NT. In these positions, you will play a pivotal part in leading our team of behaviour practitioners and delivering exceptional participant-focused services.

As a Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner you will provide advanced clinical leadership in the assessment, development, and implementation of evidence-based behavioyur support. This role ensures high-quality, compliant, and person-centred practice while mentoring practitioners and contributing to the continuous improvement of Positive Practices’ behaviour support services.

As a Team Leader you will deliver high quality, evidence-based clinical advice and professional information to a team of practitioners, persons living with a disability, families, service providers and other stakeholders. As a Team Leader you may hold a small clinical case load.

What you'll be doing

Provide expert-level behaviour support and interventions to clients with complex needs

Support and lead develop a team of behaviour practitioners, including through mentoring, coaching.

Collaborate closely with allied health professionals to ensure a cohesive, holistic approach to client care

Contribute to the development and implementation of client-centred behaviour support plans

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behaviour support strategies, making adjustments as needed

Champion best practice and ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures and regulations

Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery

What we're looking for

Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Behaviour Support, Applied Behaviour Analysis, Allied Health or a related field

Extensive experience (4+ years) working as a Behaviour Practitioner, with a strong track record of delivering positive client outcomes

Demonstrated leadership or mentorship skills and the ability to inspire, motivate and develop a high-performing team

Exceptional behaviour assessment, intervention and evaluation skills

In-depth knowledge of positive behaviour support principles and the ability to apply them in practice

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, families and multidisciplinary teams

A deep commitment to ethical practice, client-centred care and continuous quality improvement
