Muirhead & Associates, is a progressive Chartered Accounting firm in Sydney's Inner West, seeking a skilled Senior Business Services Accountant to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Role Responsibilities:

Prepare financial statements, tax returns, BAS, and management accounts for individuals, companies, trusts and superannuation funds.

Identify tax strategies and assist clients with tax planning.

Maintain regular communication with clients and regulatory bodies.

Proactively solve client accounting and tax issues.

Support and mentor junior staff with technical guidance.

Manage your own workflow and deadlines autonomously.

Work closely with Directors in a collaborative team setting.

Skills & Experience:

Tertiary qualification in accounting.

Progressing through or completed CA Program.

3-5 years’ experience in business services.

Experience with cloud and desktop accounting software including Xero and MYOB (exposure with Handisoft and BGL a plus).

Strong focus on client service and ethical standards.

Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.

Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
