Key responsibilities
- Provide support and advice on the planning and design process, to ensure delivery of project outcomes, value for money and best practice are achieved.
- Ensure all quality management procedures are adhered to.
- Maintain effective liaison and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the selection of the most suitable contract process for project delivery, then administer the contract to ensure compliance and successful delivery.
- Conduct assessments of road infrastructure and prepare management plans for long-term asset management including bridges, culverts and pavements.
- Determine appropriate bridge and road maintenance procedures, work instructions and manage road and bridge maintenance tasks.
- Assist in processing excess mass/dimension applications, assessing road traffic noise complaints, developing mitigation strategies and managing batter slope investigations and remedial design development.

Mandatory qualifications and conditions
- A Washington Accord accredited four-year degree in Engineering or equivalence recognised by Engineers Australia.
Requirements of the role
- Knowledge of road infrastructure asset management principles, particularly pavement rehabilitation and maintenance.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse technical data and prepare engineering reports
- Understanding of specialist engineering areas relevant to transport infrastructure (e.g. geotechnical, structural, environmental).
- Project Management - Knowledge of project principles and methodology to achieve outcomes within TMR framework.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with clear written and verbal communication.
