About the Role

Retz Civil is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Site Engineer to join our growing team and support the successful delivery of large civil construction projects across Brisbane, QLD. Reporting to the Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in on-site engineering, quality control, and ensuring works are delivered to design, schedule, and safety standards.

What You’ll Be Doing

Assist with planning, coordination, and day-to-day site operations.

Interpret engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring works are carried out to design.

Conduct quality assurance checks and compile ITPs and as-built documentation.

Liaise with subcontractors, surveyors, suppliers, and council representatives.

Monitor project progress, report on site activities, and assist with program tracking.

Ensure compliance with safety (WHS), environmental, and legislative requirements.

Support project cost control, materials procurement, and resource planning.

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

1-3+ years' experience in a site engineering or similar role (graduates with strong field experience considered).

Strong understanding of civil construction practices (earthworks, drainage, pavements, services)

White Card (Construction Induction) – required

Current Australian or QLD driver’s licence

Excellent communication, attention to detail, and team collaboration skills

Proficient in relevant software platforms and project tracking tools
