About the Role
As the Principal Payroll Advisor - Payroll Optimisation Program, you will lead and coordinate the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of endto- end payroll services. This role focuses on driving continuous improvement by enhancing payroll processes and service delivery, while proactively identifying and implementing business improvement opportunities through the review and
refinement of policies, practices, and procedures. It involves fostering strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders, partners, and service providers to achieve shared goals.
This is a temporary, fixed-term AO7 position until 30 September 2026, with the possibility of extension.
Skills & Experience
To thrive in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
• Proven experience in leading process improvement initiatives within payroll services or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of payroll concepts, principles, and frameworks, particularly in large organisations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to navigate complex environments and drive change.
• A commitment to continuous improvement and innovation, with the ability to implement creative solutions.
Mandatory Requirements:
• A criminal history check will be conducted, and satisfactory clearance must be received prior to commencement.
Highly Desirable Qualifications:
• A degree or equivalent qualification in accounting, business management, or human resources.
• Membership with CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, or a similar professional body.
