What You'll Do
• Lead high-level economic research and analysis on complex state, national, and global issues.
• Deliver authoritative economic advice through Cabinet submissions, policy papers, reports, and presentations.
• Apply advanced economic tools to large datasets, creating dashboards and intelligence reports that inform strategy.
• Conduct and review cost-benefit analyses of major projects and investment proposals.
• Undertake economic impact assessments using best practice economic models such as Computable General Equilibrium and Input-Output models.
• Provide expert guidance on economic data interpretation, impact assessments, and business cases.
• Prepare timely intelligence on Queensland's economy, industries, and regions.
• Proactively assist Director and the team members with an ability to multi-task.
• Build strong networks across government and with key stakeholders to influence outcomes.
