We are now seeking a Structural Engineer with a strong focus on bridge assessment and inspection and experience working on mining and heavy-industrial structures to join our growing Melbourne team.

About the Role
As a Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in the analysis, assessment of bridges and mining-related structures. You’ll work alongside a skilled team of engineers, project managers, and technicians to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes for our clients across Australia.
Key responsibilities include:
Designing and analysing bridge and heavy-industrial structures in accordance with relevant codes and standards.
Preparing detailed engineering reports, drawings, and technical documentation.
Conducting inspections, condition assessments, and rehabilitation planning for existing structures.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
Assisting with project proposals, cost estimates, and schedules.
Supporting the integration of innovative and data-driven engineering and monitoring solutions.
Maintaining high safety, quality, and environmental standards across all project activities.
About You
Essential qualifications and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in structural engineering, including bridge design and inspection.
Exposure to mining infrastructure or heavy-industrial projects.
Strong knowledge of Australian design codes and best practices.
Effectively liaise with teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure project and technical requirements are met.
Proficiency in engineering and design software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Highly desirable:
Knowledge and experience with SHM (Structural Health Monitoring) testing equipment and instrumentation.
Level 2 Bridge Inspection Accreditation.
Experience in bridge rehabilitation, strengthening, or maintenance projects.
Awareness of environmental and sustainability considerations in design and maintenance.
