About the role

We are seeking a talented Junior Landscape Architect to join our dynamic team at Create Childcare Playspaces in Melbourne. As a Junior Landscape Architect, you will play a key role in designing engaging and functional outdoor play spaces for childcare centres.

What you'll be doing

Collaborating with clients to understand their vision and requirements for new childcare playspaces

Conducting site visits and evaluations to assess the layout, terrain, and environmental factors

Producing detailed landscape designs, planting plans, and 3D visualisations

Preparing construction documentation and specifications

Coordinating with contractors and suppliers to ensure successful project implementation

Providing ongoing support and advice to clients during the construction phase

Continuously researching and incorporating the latest trends and innovations in playground design

What we're looking for

A bachelor's or master's degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field

1-3 years of experience in landscape design, preferably with a focus on childcare or educational settings

Strong skills in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients and project teams

Passion for creating engaging and developmentally-appropriate outdoor play environments for children

Familiarity with relevant regulations and safety standards for childcare playspaces

Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines
