We are looking for a skilled Site Supervisor/Estimator to lead and execute a variety of small to medium residential projects while fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.

Job Overview

The Site Supervisor/Estimator will have a hands on roll in supporting construction managers and the onsite construction team in quoting and managing renovation and maintenance services. The Site Supervisor/Estimator will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role is a combination of responsibilities, essential to fulfill the requirements of our small business.

Key Responsibilities

Site Supervision and Coordination:

Oversee day-to-day activities on-site and coordinate with staff, contractors and tradespeople.

Ensure that work is performed to project specifications, safety standards, and building regulations.

Monitor progress of work and address any issues or delays promptly.

Problemsolve issues considering all factors (time/cost/solution).

Ontool work occasionally required to assist the team acheive outcomes where needed

Liaise with clients to manage process, delivery timeframes, problem resolution etc.

Inspection and Quality Control:

Inspect materials and completed work to ensure they meet project requirements and quality standards.

Conduct routine checks for safety compliance and address potential hazards.

Ensure project meets clients desired outcome, work through any issues in a practical and logical manner.

Quoting, Cost and Resource Management:

Accurately quote new jobs and provide managers with accurate project costs, timeframes, and resource needs.

Assist in ordering materials and managing inventory on-site.

Assist with logistical management.

Problem-Solving and Maintenance:

Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues related to construction, maintenance, or repairs.

Carry out routine maintenance of tools, equipment, and site facilities.

Key Skills and Competencies:

Strong experience with one or more of the following; carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and general construction.

Ability to read and interpret technical plans, drawings, and specifications.

Knowledge of construction standards, safety regulations, and codes of practice.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Excellent organisational, coordination, and time management skills.

Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Can do attitude.

Strong customer service.

Qualifications and Experience:

Proven experience in construction supervision and hands-on site work.

Familiarity with construction management software or tools is a plus.

Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and first aid is an advantage.
