About the role

This is a full-time role with Ingham Road Seafood in Townsville, QLD 4810. As a Supervisor / Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the operational team and overseeing the day-to-day activities of the business. The role requires a versatile individual with experience in the retail, wholesale and seafood industry.

What you'll be doing

Assisting the management team in overseeing the operations of the business

Supervising and coordinating the retail, processing and wholesale staff

Covering various roles when staff are unwell or on leave

Ensuring high standards of customer service and product quality

Handling cash, stock control, and other administrative tasks as required

Providing training and support to the team as needed

Maintaining a safe and clean work environment

Representing the company in a professional manner at all times

What we're looking for

Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality, seafood and retail industry

Strong customer service skills and the ability to work well in a team

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations

Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
