Allambie Heights Kindergarten is a long established, family owned and highly regarded centre in Allambie Heights on Sydney's northern beaches, providing quality childcare by highly experienced and qualified staff.

The centre has been in operation for over 50 years and operated by the current owner for over 20 years. The Centre is accredited under the National Quality Standard.

$35 – $43 per hour

25 place centre, ages 3-5

Operates 49 weeks per year, 8am-4.30pm

The position is permanent part time working fixed hours – 2.5 days; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (Half Day)

Commencement date; 12 January 2026

Key Responsibilities:

Educational Leader experience - desirable

Working with 3-4 year olds

Excellent programming and documentation skills, a passion for play based learning and innovative curriculum ideas

Participate in a small team of educators to achieve excellence in practice

Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with children, families, and community partners

Ensure all practices reflect Child Safe Standards

Maintain accurate and engaging documentation and project records that showcase children’s learning journeys.

Requirements:

Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent ACECQA-approved qualification)

Current and up to date; NSW Working with Children Check, First Aid, CPR and Child Protection training

Strong leadership, mentoring, and organisational skills

Proven ability to build trusting, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues

Commitment to inclusive education and supporting diverse learning needs.

Ensure compliance with the National Quality Standards

Reflective, adaptable, and open-minded approach to teamwork and change

Sound understanding of Child Safe Standards and best ECE practice.
