Alpha Echo is looking for a dedicated and experienced Cyber Consultant to join our team in Adelaide, South Australia. The role requires an individual with experience in Cyber Governance, Risk and Compliance and experience working in the Department of Defence. The perfect fit for the role will have a high capacity for work, be able to work autonomously and possess exemplar written and verbal communication skills.

Locations

Our company is headquartered in Newcastle NSW, with consultants in NSW, SA and ACT. This role requires an individual to be located in - or willing to relocate to South Australia to work at RAAF Base Edinburgh.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a candidate with a broad range of skills, experiences and interests including:

Essential

Current Australian Government security clearance NV1 or higher - NV2 or PV are highly desirable.

Offensive or defensive cyber experience

Strong working knowledge of Australian recognised security frameworks.

Experience developing and implementing information security practices in complex environments.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to clearly articulate complex security concepts to a broad and diverse audience.

A desire to work as part of a dynamic team supporting a diverse range of technology.

Ability to work alone with minimal guidance.

Experience with the Information Security Manual (ISM) and the ASD essential 8.

Experience working in Defence and or Government

Understand the principles of Operational Security, Information Systems Security, and Physical Security application.

Ability to positively interact and work within a diverse group of stakeholders

Ability to participate in working groups and the creation of security policies, audits, assessments, and system documentation.

Ability to responding to and manage security issues and events.

Ability to contribute to, and implement, information security requirements, policies, standards, guidelines and procedures.

Desirable

Industry recognised information security qualification (CISSP, CISM, ISO 270001, IRAP, DRAP, etc.) and or relevant experience are highly desirable.

Current Australian Government security clearance NV2 or PV are highly desirable.

Individuals that possess a TAE Cert are highly encouraged to apply
