Due to strong growth and increasing demand, we’re seeking a qualified and experienced Security System & Video Technician to join our team based in Torrensville, SA
About the Role
You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a range of electronic security systems including alarms, CCTV, IP cameras, and access control systems.
You’ll work closely with our licensed electricians, engineers, and clients to ensure high-quality, compliant installations that meet AG Security Group’s professional standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Attend all scheduled appointments at client sites to conduct installations of security products and services, primarily alarm, CCTV, IP Camera, access control systems
• Conduct all required pre-wiring and mounting of devices, programming, commissioning and testing, as well as system interfacing
• Adhere to all Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation, regulations, codes of practice, standards, company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs)
• Apply all new AG Security Group safety stickers and signs at all new installations/client sites
• Adjusting, repairing, and replacing worn or defective parts and wiring, and maintaining machines, equipment and instruments
• Commission and test systems to diagnose faults
• Applying knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic principles in commissioning and maintaining control systems
• Run, connect, and terminate low-voltage cabling (CAT5/6, coaxial, and fibre optic).
• Set up and program DVR/NVR systems, IP cameras, and alarm panels.
• Perform routine inspections, servicing, and maintenance of electronic security systems.
• Diagnose and repair faults, including connectivity or hardware issues.
• Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications to carry out installations.
• Ensure all work complies with industry standards, safety protocols, and client requirements.
• Provide training and support to end-users on system operations.
• Maintain accurate records and complete job reports, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation.
• Replace and repair defective parts, cabling, and equipment components.
• Monitor and interpret communication systems (e.g., radio or coded signals).
• Apply knowledge of electrical, mechanical, electronic, and pneumatic systems during installation and troubleshooting.

About You
You are a hands-on technician with strong technical aptitude and a passion for delivering reliable, high-quality work. You take pride in your attention to detail and can confidently collaborate with clients and team members.
Requirements:
• Certificate IV (or higher) in Electronics or Electrical Systems (or equivalent).
• Minimum 1 year full-time post-qualification experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation.
• Punctual, reliable, and safety-focused.
• Must have the right to work in Australia.
• Registration/licensing not required (you’ll work under supervision of a licensed electrician).
