Trade Manager – Mitre 10

As Trade Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind our trade business, leading a enthusiastic team, deepening customer relationships, and delivering operational excellence every day.

What You’ll Do

Own the trade counter and yard operations, ensuring fast, accurate service and stock flow

Build strong relationships with local builders, contractors, and suppliers

Lead and coach a team of trade specialists, forklift operators, and yard staff

Drive sales growth through proactive account management and local outreach

Ensure safety, compliance, and efficiency across all trade operations

Collaborate with store leadership to align trade strategy with broader business goals

What You Bring

Proven experience in trade sales, building supplies, or construction retail

Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, customer-first mindset

Knowledge of timber, trusses, hardware, and building materials

Forklift licence and yard operations experience (preferred)

Ability to manage stock, logistics, and team performance under pressure

A passion for helping tradies get the job done—on time, every time
