What you'll be doing

As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting adults with moderate to severe traumatic brain injuries. You’ll provide tailored psychological interventions, collaborate with families and teams, and contribute to the design and delivery of holistic rehabilitation programs.

In this role you will:

Deliver evidence-based psychological care including CBT, counselling, and behaviour management.

Develop and evaluate individualised rehabilitation and behaviour support plans.

Educate patients, families, and carers on the psychological impacts of brain injury.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes.

Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and clinical reporting.

Essential Criteria:

• Qualification: Masters Degree or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from an APAC accredited course.
• Registration: Current Registration with Psychology Board of Australia.
  

Selection Criteria:

1. Endorsement to practise in the area of Clinical Psychology, or currently undertaking a Psychology Registrar program of board-approved supervised practice for the purpose of gaining such endorsement.
2. Evidence of post-graduate Clinical Psychology experience in the treatment of adults with traumatic brain injuries, or patients with other diagnoses and challenging behaviours.
3. Evidence of ability to work independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
4. Evidence of effective written and verbal communication skills.
5. Demonstrated use of the principles of evidence-based practice.
6. Evidence of a commitment to continuing professional education and quality management.
