The Role
Undertake assessments of complex mining/petroleum proposals and, as required native vegetation clearing applications.
Provide high level specialist/technical advice to the departments Executive, minerals and energy sector, general public and industry organisations applying environmental legislation relating to resources industry.
Prepare reports, documents and correspondence related to complex environmental assessments and make decisions and/or recommendations as required.
Carry out the duties of an Inspector and undertake inspections/compliance assessments of mining/petroleum operations to monitor for compliance with environmental regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Licenses
A Bachelor of Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management Degree or an approved equivalent scientific degree appropriate for the role/responsibilities described in this Job Description Form.
