Nudge is offering an exciting opportunity to the right person to join our team as a Mentor. You will help to support, nurture and mentor trainees, apprentices and new entrants to the workforce as well as providing coaching and support to their supervisors and teams.

It is important to note that regional travel will be required as part of this role– inclusive of overnight stays.
Who we are?
At Nudge, you’ll be part of a close-knit, support-focused, creative team where you’ll help deliver life-changing, business-transforming mentoring and support that opens a world of opportunity and possibility for young people and new entrants to the workforce.
Working closely with the Manager Mentoring and the existing Mentor Team, this role will be part of the ongoing growth and development of the Nudge Mentoring Program.
Key Responsibilities
Develop quality relationships with mentees (trainees/apprentices/new entrants) and employers providing mentoring to assist and support through all stages of employment
Implementing ongoing support plans for mentees, adapting as required to meet their evolving needs
Maintain effective communication contact with supervisors to manage and direct any issues as they arise whilst sharing the positive achievements of the trainees
Reporting and maintaining Mentor case and engagement notes through project management systems
Delivering workshops to mentees, employers and trainees, with a flair to share the Nudge way – Mentoring that Matters
Attending community events, expo’s and networking events, representing Nudge and engaging with a wide range of individuals
Skills and experience
To thrive in this role(s) you will need:
At least 2 years’ experience in mentoring, coaching, inspiring, encouraging, and motivating others to achieve
Experience in establishing and developing positive relationships with First Nations young people and disadvantaged youth
Highly developed interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with young people, their supervisors, business owners and Nudge’s valued partners
Strong time-management and organisational skills (calendar scheduling and self-management is highly desired) to assist in the delivery of Nudge’s high-quality support and best-practice mentoring program
Driver’s License
A valid Working with Children Check is required for this position.
Construction White Card (Desirable)
Workshop facilitation experience and skills (Desirable)
