With an exciting transformation underway, they are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join the finance team on a 3–6 month contract to support key reporting and compliance deliverables during a busy period.

Your New Role:
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will play a key role in managing core financial processes, ensuring compliance, and delivering accurate and timely reporting to support strategic decision-making. This is a hands-on role that will see you take ownership of month-end close, tax compliance, and audit preparation while identifying opportunities for process and system improvement.
Key responsibilities include:

• Leading month-end and year-end close activities, including GL reconciliations and reporting
• Preparing monthly balance sheet, cashflow inputs, and divisional commentary
• Managing GST, FBT, and income tax compliance
• Performing key cash-related controls including bank reconciliations and journals
• Liaising with internal and external auditors and maintaining accurate work papers
• Driving process improvement initiatives and supporting automation projects
• Supporting ad-hoc finance projects and commercial analysis as required

About You:

• CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent) with a tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within a medium to large organisation
• Proven technical accounting and reporting skills with strong attention to detail
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP/reporting systems
• Confident communicator with strong analytical and organisational skills
• Proactive, solutions-focused, and able to work to tight deadlines
