Income & Benefits
Salary: AHP2: $91,785 - $106,330 p.a. + 12% super
Exclusive Allowance: Extra 4% for child protection social workers, permanently enshrined in the Enterprise Agreement, making DCP the highest-paying government employer in SA
Professional Development (PD) - a $1,000 allowance increasing incrementally each year + reimbursement of PD expenses up to $1,000 (AHP2 level)

In this role, you will:
Lead complex investigations and assessments focused on child safety and wellbeing
Provide case management and support to children, families, and carers
Work with families to build capacity for safe and positive parenting
Prepare clear, evidence-based reports and present in court when required
To be successful:
You are an experienced social worker who thrives when applying your skills to complex, challenging situations. You bring strong case management expertise, the ability to work independently, and the confidence to make sound decisions that safeguard children.
You communicate clearly and with compassion, preparing high-quality reports and working collaboratively with families, colleagues, and community partners. Your approach is inclusive and culturally respectful, recognising the importance of supporting families from diverse backgrounds.

Special Conditions:
Essential: A degree level qualification in Social Work which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
