NSW EPA Auditor Assistant

Location: Full remote working / WFH.

Type: Full-time Permanent, or part time / casual.

About the Role

I am seeking a Auditor Assistant. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work closely with a certified NSW EPA Contaminated Land Auditor, gaining exposure to complex projects and regulatory processes.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the EPA Accredited Auditor in reviewing and assessing contaminated land reports in accordance with the NSW Contaminated Land Management framework.

Conduct detailed desktop reviews of site assessments, remedial action plans, validation reports, and environmental management plans.

Support the preparation of Auditor reports, statements, and correspondence with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.

Assist in verifying the adequacy of data collection, validation, and quality assurance processes.

Maintain project documentation, records, and version control to ensure compliance with EPA auditing requirements.

Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulators to support project delivery.

Contribute to continuous improvement of internal systems and processes.

Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related discipline.

3+ years’ experience in contaminated land assessment, remediation, or environmental consulting.

Strong understanding of the Contaminated Land Management Act (1997), NSW EPA Guidelines, and National Environment Protection (Assessment of Site Contamination) Measure 1999 (NEPM 1999, as amended).

Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and report-writing skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work to deadlines.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
