Provide front-line customer service for Students at Charles Darwin University (CDU)
About the Position
As a Student Advisor, you will provide front-line customer service, responding to enquiries from prospective and current students, their families, and the public and supporting other areas of Student and Academic Services as needed. Your duties will include:
- Provide accurate course information and promote vocational, higher education, and research programs to prospective students and their families.
- Assist prospective students with application, admission, and enrolment to ensure a smooth start at the University.
- Resolve enquiries at first contact using a knowledge base and liaising with staff as needed.
- Respond to enquiries from contractors and visitors, offering directions, referrals, and solutions.
- Support back-office student and academic administration teams with accurate referrals and feedback
About You
To be successful, you will require:
- Strong written communication skills, capable of handling written enquiries and coordinating with other teams on complex cases.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, able to explain complex processes clearly to customers and work effectively with staff.
- Experience working in a customer service team, ideally in the vocational or higher education sector, with a focus on teamwork and achieving shared goals.
- Proven commitment to delivering outstanding customer service to both internal and external clients.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in a dual-sector university customer service environment.
- Experience in contact centre improvement initiatives.
- Ability to travel between campus’ as required
Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Employee Level 4. The base salary will be in the range of $70,037 – $74,456 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $81,943 to $87,113 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
