About the Opportunity

As a tradesperson in our Maintenance team, you'll play a crucial part in keeping our hospital running. No two days are the same! From general maintenance and equipment repairs to urgent breakdowns and ensuring the safety of all our plumbing systems, your work will be vital in keeping the hospital safe and operational.

As the Plumber you will be responsible for:

• Perform general maintenance, repairs, and installations across the hospital.
• Ensure all plumbing systems are safe and up to code.
• Work with a great team of maintenance professionals to solve any issues quickly.
• Adhere to hospital safety standards, prioritising staff and patient safety at all times.
• Be on call now and then – but don’t worry, you’ll earn extra allowances for your time.

About You

Our ideal candidate will:

• Hold a trades certificate in Plumbing/Gas Fitting
• Demonstrate previous experience and understanding of preventative maintenance procedures for buildings, plant and equipment
• A NSWH recognised qualification in Thermostatic Mixing Valve and Backflow Prevention Valve, or the willingness to obtain with support from MLHD
• Demonstrate effective communication skills and the ability to manage and coordinate multiple demands
• Be willing to support on-call/after hours response where necessary
