Senior Farm Hand – Irrigated Cropping (Wee Waa, NSW)

Position: Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking an experienced Senior Farm Hand to join our team on a mixed irrigation and dryland cropping property near Wee Waa, NSW.
Our main focus is Cotton as well as other Winter and Summer crops, with a strong emphasis on efficient irrigation and modern farming practices.

This hands-on role will suit someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys operating machinery, and has a solid understanding of irrigated broadacre cropping systems

Key Responsibilities

Operation and maintenance of modern tractors and farm machinery

Preparation and planting of cotton and other broadacre crops

Irrigation management – particularly syphon irrigation systems

General farm duties including spraying, fertiliser application, and crop maintenance

Maintenance of irrigation infrastructure, machinery, and equipment

Assisting with harvest and post-harvest operations

Supporting day-to-day farm operations and seasonal planning

Skills & Experience

To be successful, you’ll ideally have:

Proven experience in Row/Broadacre cropping, especially cotton production

Sound knowledge of irrigation systems (syphons preferred)

Competence in tractor and machinery operation (JD Ops), planting and field preparation

Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

Good communication and organisational skills

A strong work ethic and ability to work both independently and in a team
