The role:

A great opportunity has arisen for an astute financial accountant that will assist in implementing new processes and join a growing team. You will be a passionate and driven accountant with an ability to effectively communicate your work. Reporting into the Financial Controller you will contribute to Month end, reconciliations, business partnering and overhead management. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Preparation of month end journals and reporting requirements.
• Monthly reporting preparation and supporting analysis
• Manage deferred revenue, paid to agent & agency commission reconciliations and all other agency related reconciliation accounts
• Investigate and clear daily sales transactions to complete posting to the ledger.
• Work with Inventory teams, Accounts Payable & Financial Accounting team to address reconciling issues and process improvements
• Working with relevant business partners to communicate key variances to budget and providing insight on cost management.
• Support strategic initiatives aimed at ensuring revenue and profit growth.
• Identify and communicate opportunities to improve business performance
• Prepare daily bank reconciliation, working closely with Accounts Payable and Credit Teams
• Adhoc requests and involvement with relevant projects.

About you:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
• 3 - 5 Years experience in a similar role.
• Ideal first move from Big 4 / Mid-Tier.
• CA/CPA qualification or working towards this.
• Exposure to infrastructure, logistics or similiar industries
• Strong financial understanding and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
