We are seeking an experienced and motivated Financial Accountant to join a growing cleaning and security services business based in Banksmeadow, NSW. This is an excellent opportunity for a CA or CPA-qualified professional looking to take ownership of the full financial function within a dynamic and expanding organisation.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Directors and General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the company's financial operations. You'll play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining compliance obligations, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end finance function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.

Prepare and review monthly management reports and financial statements.

Coordinate and lodge BAS, PAYG, superannuation and payroll tax reporting.

Support year-end reporting and liaise with external accountants.

Provide financial insights and analysis to assist management in business planning and performance monitoring.

Ensure robust financial controls and process improvements are in place.

Supervise accounts team

About You

CA or CPA qualified (essential).

Previous commercial accounting experience (experience in service-based or labour-intensive industries highly regarded).

Minimum 3-4 years of commercial accounting experience is required.

Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.

Essential experience with Xero accounting software is required.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across the business.

Hands-on and proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills.
