We are looking for a passionate Grievance Adviser to join the BPC, working closely with the Manager Employment Relations and Organisational Design and the People and Capability Team. In this pivotal role, you'll provide expert advice and support across industrial relations, employment policy development, complex employee and industrial relations matters, dispute resolution and grievance matters. This includes end to end case management of formal and informal grievance processes.

What we are looking for:

• Demonstrated knowledge of public sector employment frameworks, including relevant industrial instruments, legislation, and policies (e.g. Fair Work Act 2009, Public Administration Act 2004, anti-discrimination laws).

• Experience in applying judgement in legislation and policy to provide sound advice to stakeholders.

• Proven experience as a first point of contact for grievances and complaints.

• Effective negotiation and influencing skills to manage grievance and complaint processes.

• Experience in end to end case management, including performance and misconduct matters.

• Experienced in policies and procedures, including development, maintenance, awareness, and coaching across the workforce.

• Strong analytical and research skills to support best practice.

About the BPC

The Building & Plumbing Commission (BPC) is Victoria's new regulator for building and plumbing.

It brings together the Victorian Building Authority (VBA), Domestic Building Dispute Resolution Victoria (DBDRV), and the domestic building insurance function of the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) into one organisation.

Key functions related to building and plumbing regulation will come together under one roof, including registration, inspection and compliance, practitioner discipline, dispute resolution, and domestic building insurance. These services will now part of the BPC and will be fully integrated over the next 12 months.
