An exciting and rewarding opportunity exists for a part-time Cleaner (Hospital Assistant Grade 2) in Southcare's Equipment Pool. You should enjoy working within a small team and have the ability to provide a high standard of cleaning and sanitisation following strict policies, procedures and guidelines. The Equipment Pool facilitates the hire of equipment to patients within the Sutherland Shire to assist them with their discharge and recovery from hospital in their own homes.
Where you'll be working
You will be working at The Sutherland Hospital with Southcare, Aged and Extended Community Care. The Equipment Pool team consists of an Equipment Pool Officer and Cleaner to play an integral part in facilitating the effective coordination and execution of the Southcare Equipment Pool.

The Equipment Pool Cleaner provides a comprehensive equipment cleaning service to support clients, services and professionals within the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District. This role is responsible for ensuring that equipment is in good working order, clean, sanitised as per strict cleaning policies and ensure equipment is turned around in a short timeframe to enable the Equipment Pool to achieve their objectives in a timely, reliable and efficient manner.

Selection Criteria:
1. Previous cleaning experience in a healthcare or commercial facility
2. Willing to clean equipment utilised by persons with an infectious condition
3. Proven ability to work independently or in a team environment
4. Good oral and written communication skills, ability to read and write instruction that are written in English.
5. Able to prioritise and organise work and ability to monitor stock levels
6. Knowledge of cleaning procedures & equipment
7. Working knowledge of related WHS rules and hygiene standards.
