Hirondelle Private Hospital is iMH's second private mental health hospital. Hirondelle Private Hospital provides integrated mental health services to the Northern Sydney community. With 45 mental health beds, the team of psychiatrists, medical, nursing and allied health professionals provide a wide range of treatments across inpatient, outpatient and community settings through flexible care pathways.

We are hiring for 2 different part-time roles:

1 x Houskeeping Cleaner

1 x Chef/Cook

About the role - Housekeeping Cleaner
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced housekeeping cleaner to join our Hotel Services department. The purpose of this role is to provide cleaning services and waste removal in line with the policies and procedures of the Hospital and the Hotel Services Department.

Duties:

Performance of high and periodic cleaning duties in accordance with cleaning lists.

Terminal cleaning of patient rooms upon discharge.

Cleaning of sinks, hand basins, toilets, floors patient rooms, internal windows in allocated area.

Complies with Work Health and Safety requirements.

Ensures cost effective utilisation of hospital resources.

Comply with the Infection Control Standards, as set in the IMH Infection Control Policy Practice and Guidelines Manual

Comply with the requirements of the iMH WHS Safety Management System, in which to enhance patients, staff and visitors comfort and safety.

Essential criteria:

Previous experience in environmental services, hospital cleaning or housekeeping.

Working knowledge of Infection Control issues.

Ability to deliver excellent customer service, maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proven effective time management skills and the ability to handle a busy workload.

Customer focused attitude

Experience working in a private hospital setting

About the Role - Chef/Cook

We are looking for Chef/Cook who will be able to grow with the role as the hospital continues to establish itself whilst ensuring the efficient and effective running of the hospital's Food Service Department in preparing and serving meals and beverages to patients, staff and visitors. This role offers the opportunity to be a part of Australia's leading private mental health provider and make an immense impact to the lives of Australian's struggling with mental health.

Duties include:

Food handling, preparation, cooking, plating, garnishing as per menu recipes to a high quality standard

Customer service

Stocktaking & placing orders as required

Dishwashing and cleaning kitchen & dining areas

Adhering to HACCP principles and safety practices

Supervise & guide/support kitchen assistants to follow food safety program in completing their duties

Communicate professionally and work as a team

Food Standards compliance, nutritional compliance accreditation and regulatory requirements.

Essential Criteria:

Minimum 3 years experience working professionally in food services

Minimum of a Cert III in commercial cookery

Understanding of the HACCP principle and food safety

Ability to follow food safety program including food preparation and production

Team player and able to work under pressure

Ability to work on rotating AM, PM, weekends and public holiday shifts

Excellent and creative culinary skills

Be motivated by a passion for quality and great service delivery

Desired Criteria:

Previous work experience in a health care or aged care is ideal

Understanding of infection control and safety principles
