Hours Per Week: 32 (Job share may be considered for part time hours)

What you'll be doing
As the Birth Unit Administration Officer, you’ll provide efficient administrative and reception support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations in the Birth Unit. You’ll play a key role in welcoming patients, assisting families, and supporting midwifery staff to deliver exceptional care.
Deliver courteous and confidential frontline customer service
Manage administrative tasks including patient records and scheduling
Liaise with clinical staff to prioritise patient needs and coordinate services
Maintain accuracy in data entry, documentation, and medical record systems
Assist in quality improvement initiatives and ensure smooth workflow
Work on a rotating shift roster, including mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends and public holidays

Selection Criteria:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to work with minimal supervision and to make decisions on day to day operational matters within the positions area of responsibility.
Possess organisational skills required to set priorities, meet strict deadlines, monitor workflow in the area of responsibility and effectively deal with several projects concurrently.
Well- developed skills in the use of Cerner applications and software packages e.g., Data entry, MS office or similar packages.
Ability to provide a comprehensive range of reception duties and support to several departments
Ability and willingness to multitask , be adaptable and work in a self-directed Manner.
Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to providing a high quality standard of service.
