About the Position
We are looking to welcome a Practice Supervisor to provide practice direction and support to team members regarding child protection risk, engaging with hard-to-reach families, and the implementation of a case management service to families. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of children and families.
- Level 6 SCHCADS Award.
- Salary range: $110,110 - $114,984 + Superannuation.
- Government funded until 31 December 2026 with possible extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Upskill and support practitioners to deliver high quality client outcomes within a performance planning and development culture.
- Oversee the development and completion of assessments and case plans by the lead practitioner, at key points throughout a family’s engagement with the service.
- Regularly facilitate or lead client case consultations, giving directions about risk, safety, and practice interventions.
- Provide individual and group learning development opportunities, through the provision of PASE supervision, group supervision and field supervision.

About You
- Tertiary degree in a relevant discipline (allied health, social work, human services).
- Professional registration (if required).
- Membership of a relevant professional association (desirable).
- At least five (5) years’ experience working with children and families, preferably with time spent working within a trauma-informed framework.
- Relevant experience supervising staff in similar role.
- Clinical and therapeutic understanding of the impacts of trauma on child and family functioning.
- Well-developed communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills that can be applied within an integrated case management model.
- Understanding of how to communicate and work effectively with families from different socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Other Requirements
- Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption.
- Current driver’s licence.
- Legal ability to work in Australia (proof of eligibility required).
