About the Position

We are looking to welcome an Allied Health Practitioner or Specialist Educator to provide trauma-informed therapeutic service to children, young people and their families in educational settings.

  • Full time position.
  • Level 6 under the SCHCADS Award. Salary range is $110,110 - $114,984 + Superannuation.
  • Government funded until 31 January 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain partnerships with local schools, community and government agencies.
  • Identify and work toward client goals and achieve successful case outcomes for clients.
  • Attend stakeholder meetings for the benefit of clients and develop case plans.
  • Collaboratively identify barriers, and create plans to overcome these, while developing student and staff skills to improve students access, participation and achievement in their educational environment.

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in Allied Health (Psychology, Speech Pathology or Occupational Therapy) or Education.
  • Current registration with the relevant Registration Board, where applicable.
  • Minimum two years’ experience working with children, young people and their families or at least two years’ experience working in similar roles.
  • Experience providing individual and group therapy to children, young people and their families.
  • Post grad qualifications desirable in inclusion/trauma informed practice.
  • Experience working with children, young people and their families.
  • Knowledge of the education system.

Other Requirements

  • Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption.
  • Current driver’s licence.
  • Legally able work in Australia (proof of eligibility will be requested).
