A growing Property Development firm in Sydney’ East is looking to recruit their first Finance Manager in this newly created role. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for everything to do with Accounting and Finance while working closely with the companies’ external accountants.

Initially this will be a stand-alone role, so it is imperative that you like and want to take ownership of all tasks within the department and that you have the capability to put some robust financial processes in place where lacking. As the business continues to grow, there will be promotional opportunities depending on the level of value you can add.

Ideally you will be CA/CPA qualified however strong sector experience in property development would be seen as a real positive without a formal accounting qualification. The role will see you involved with;

• Financial, management and project reporting
• Monthly balance sheet and profit and loss statements
• Regular cashflow forecasting
• Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage bank guarantees and all Insurances
• Overhead budgets and forecasting
• Preparation of quarterly BAS
• Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable

The ideal candidate will need to be adaptable to changing priorities, be a self-starter that can work autonomously while also being comfortable in partnering with the MD, development and construction/project teams.
