We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Student Formation and Wellbeing Officer to join our dynamic College community on a full-time, term-time basis.
This pivotal role supports the holistic development of students by combining pastoral care, wellbeing promotion, and student formation. Working closely with the Deputy Principal - Students, Assistant Principal - Mission & Primary, Heads of House, and Guidance Counsellors, the successful applicant will provide individual and group support, assist in the delivery of College formation programs, and help foster a culture of inclusion, connection, and care across Years 5-12.
The role will suit a professional who is approachable, empathetic, and passionate about helping young people thrive. You will bring a balance of warmth and professionalism, and a genuine commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
Key duties and responsibilities are:
Provide individual and small group wellbeing support to students.
Undertake preliminary wellbeing and spiritual support assessments, referring students and families to the Head of House or Guidance Counsellor where more specialised care is required.
Assist in the planning and delivery of student formation activities, including retreats, reflection days, and leadership programs.
Support service learning and social justice initiatives across the College.
Foster student engagement and belonging through connection and pastoral initiatives.
Work collaboratively with staff, families, and external providers to promote student wellbeing and care.
About you:
You will have:
A demonstrated commitment to the ethos and values of Catholic education.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with young people.
Experience in student wellbeing, youth work, pastoral care, or formation.
The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Exceptional organisational and administrative skills.
Relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in student wellbeing, youth work, or ministry would be advantageous.

Job requirements:
All staff are required to hold a current Working With Children Check (blue card) before commencing at the College.
