The Team:

The Occupational Therapy Service includes over 90 team members consisting of occupational therapists and assistants, play specialists, diversional therapists, tradesperson, and administration officers. We work across acute, sub-acute and community settings. The Tradesperson role is based with the Community Occupational Therapy team, at the Repat site.

The Role:

This permanent part-time role offers the chance to apply your trade in a healthcare setting — installing grab rails and minor home modifications that directly improve the lives of people with illness or disabilities.

  • Install and construct home modifications prescribed by Occupational Therapists
  • Interpret building plans and specifications to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes
  • Advise therapists on technical considerations and collaborate with a supportive team
  • Manage your own schedule and travel across the region.
  • Champion safety, quality, and dignity in every home you visit

Details of appointment:

Permanent part time, day worker position, working 45.6 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $73,811 to $79,779 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

  • Relevant Trades Qualification – Certificate III in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent.
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People
