This role will be mainly supporting individuals in the community facing various mental health challenges including autism, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD, substance use issues, dissociative disorders, OCD, and more. We are currently receiving more functional referrals for AT so if you would prefer this type of caseload this can be arranged.

In this role, you will be assisting clients to build their capacity to be as independent as possible by overcoming the barriers of their psychosocial disability. You will receive supervision and training to provide a range of therapy modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Neuro-Affirming Care to support the neurodivergent community.

Your day can run exactly how you could like it and start and finish when you wish. For example, you could start the day working from home or in the office to do some reports with the afternoon's spent visiting clients in their homes or in the community. This could look different depending on if you have kids to drop at school or if you want to go to the gym! Working in a community role allows you to have flexibility and control over structuring your day.

You will be working from our base Collaroy office with working from home as much as you like as this role is a contracting role. Depending on where you are living, we'll tailor your caseload to service clients around the North Shore & Northern Beaches. Your admin support team will work with you on scheduling appointments to ensure you aren't overdoing travel around Sydney and you'll have clients to see close to home. If you wish to be in charge of your own diary then that is fine also!

Nesting Space offers mentorship and supervision to help you develop strong skills in writing detailed reports, conducting functional capacity assessments, and completing interventions to meet clients' goals. Your reports will also be reviewed by the director and provided with feedback before sending to the client and their supporting team.

We have a strong team focus and do monthly catch ups over breakfast!
