Your new opportunity
Are you ready to make a difference in Queensland's economic, financial and policy landscape? As a Senior Treasury Analyst (AO6) in the Intergovernmental Relations team, you will play a critical role in shaping Queensland's intergovernmental agenda.
This is your chance to work at the heart of government, providing expert advice on national policy, agreements, and legislation. You'll collaborate with key stakeholders across governments to deliver strategic outcomes that benefit all Queenslanders.
In this role, you will:
Provide expert advice, information, and support on intergovernmental agreements, including across social policy, industry policy, program management, financial performance, and risk.
Prepare complex reports, submissions, briefing notes, and presentations for intergovernmental forums, often within tight timeframes.
Collaborate with Treasury Policy teams and other departments to support policy analysis and development, and intergovernmental discussions and negotiations, on critical topics such as health, disability, housing, skills, productivity, and infrastructure.
Support effective oversight of intergovernmental financial agreements, and budget planning, development, and monitoring in line with economic and financial principles underpinning Queensland Government financial management.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
What experience you will bring:
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills.
• Broad policy expertise and risk or project management skills.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• The ability to work independently, and collaboratively, on complex, time-sensitive tasks.
While there are no mandatory qualifications for the role, a relevant degree or postgraduate studies in public policy, commerce, economics, finance or a related discipline would be highly regarded.
