About Us:

The Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) delivers a trusted justice and community safety system that works together to build a just, safe and resilient Victoria. The Integrity and Investigations Unit oversees fraud and corruption prevention and investigations, technology-led detection and analysis, engagement with integrity agencies and DJCS' integrity culture program.

Integrity and Investigations is responsible for leading:

  • Corruption investigations, confidential assessments and referral of Public Interest Disclosures.
  • DJCS' engagement with agencies such as the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission (IBAC) and the Victorian Ombudsman (VO).
  • Investigations into suspected integrity breaches using technology-led detection and analysis.
  • Integrity and child safety understanding, buy-in, culture and legislative compliance.

About the Role:

The Senior Manager of Integrity and Corruption Investigations plays a pivotal role in leading a specialised team responsible for delivering comprehensive internal investigation services. This position oversees the administration of DJCS's Public Interest Disclosure (PID) framework, safeguarding confidentiality and providing welfare support to disclosers. Additionally, the Senior Manager provides expert investigative support to the Honorary Justices Services Support team. Reporting directly to the Director of Integrity and Investigations, this role is central to driving strategic initiatives, fostering a culture of accountability, and enhancing the department's overall integrity framework.

About You:

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Advanced knowledge of trauma-informed, victimcentric investigation techniques, including evidence gathering, interview processes, and report writing.
  • Expertise in managing complex investigations into employee misconduct, fraud, corruption, privacy breaches, and other ethical breaches.
  • Deep understanding of PID frameworks, including handling sensitive disclosures, welfare support, and compliance with PID legislation.
  • Strong knowledge of the IBAC Act 2011 and related mandatory reporting requirements, with experience in preparing and reviewing reports for IBAC and the Victorian Ombudsman.
