Our latest venture, Ungone, is a next-generation personal security ecosystem that blends beautiful hardware with powerful software, bringing tracking, alarms, and peace of mind to the real world.

We're now building the Ungone App, a cross-platform companion that connects our new range of Bluetooth devices to the cloud — combining Apple Find My, Google Find My Device, and our own smart alarm platform into one seamless experience.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a hands-on mobile app developer who's excited to ship a real, tangible product — not just another app.
You'll help us take the Ungone ecosystem live by April 2026, working closely with our small in-house team of Industrial Designers and Product Engineers, Electronics engineers, firmware and UX designers and external cloud specialists.

You'll touch everything from Bluetooth device comms and secure key management to app UX and backend APIs.
This is a rare chance to own a project that merges hardware, mobile, and cloud in a meaningful way — and see your work launched worldwide.

What You'll Be Doing

Build and maintain the Ungone mobile app for iOS and Android (native or cross-platform).

Experience with cross-platform development frameworks is preferred for building applications across both iOS and Android platforms.

Implement Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connections with our devices — pairing, alarm control, telemetry, OTA updates.

Connect securely to the AWS backend, handling user accounts, encrypted keys, and telemetry.

Work with our firmware engineers (Nordic chipset) to define and test the device comms layer.

Implement Sign in with Apple / Google and manage secure session handling.

Collaborate with UX designers to deliver a clean, intuitive interface from our live wireframes.

Set up CI/CD pipelines, unit testing, and QA automation for release stability.

Bring a sense of ownership — and help shape the direction of Ungone's software architecture as we scale.

What You Bring

Solid experience in mobile app development (Swift / Kotlin / React Native).

A minimum of 3-5 years of mobile app development experience is required.

Deep understanding of BLE (CoreBluetooth + Android BLE APIs).

Experience building secure app–server connections (TLS, JWT, OAuth 2.0).

Exposure to AWS, Firebase, or other scalable cloud platforms.

Confidence with MVVM or Clean Architecture patterns.

Comfort working in small, high-performing teams with direct ownership.

A hacker's curiosity paired with a designer's attention to detail.

Bonus points if you have:

CE RED / EN 303 645 cybersecurity awareness.

Past work on apps linked to physical devices (wearables, trackers, sensors).

Experience with Apple IWatch and Android watch apps

Type: Full-time (or 5-month contract)

Location: Melbourne HQ (hybrid)- 9 day fortnight

Salary: Competitive – based on experience

Start: ASAP – aiming for April 2026 launch
