Brand and Marketing Manger

Full time - 5 days per week

The Organisation:

The Family Co. is a not-for-profit organisation which aims to support and strengthen the capacity of families within our community by providing programs and services designed to contribute to the promotion and maintenance of safety and well-being amongst all family members.

The Position:

Reporting directly to the Executive Team and working closely with the Operations Manager and Strategic Partnerships Manager, the Brand and Marketing Manager will drive the development and implementation of brand, communication and marketing strategies, ensuring they are executed with a high level of attention to detail and professionalism. This position must develop and maintain internal and external networks and relationships in order to ensure best practice and quality service delivery focused on storytelling, brand enhancement and marketing opportunities.

Key accountabilities

Support our vision, mission, strategy and growth plans through the development and execution of a strategic brand and marketing plan, aligned to the organisations strategic objectives and tailored to our unique value proposition and customer segments

Enhance client, customer and stakeholder awareness, acquisition, retention and experience through the Development and Implementation of The Family Co Brand and Communication strategy and plan

Develop and implement marketing, advertising, and promotional plans and collateral

Strengthen client, customer, sponsor and community engagement

Define and communicate our story of our advocacy and corporate social responsibility priorities

Expand our reach and impact through online, media, social media communications and digital community engagement strategies

Storytelling – capture and share the stories of the incredible community we support, highlighting their resilience and achievements in meaningful and engaging ways which draw stakeholders and partners in but also maintain our social values and deep respect for the individuals we work alongside

Develop and implement targeted marketing campaigns

Content Creation: Develop a broad range of content that showcases The Family Co support services in a meaningful and engaging manner, tailored to the unique needs of each customer segment, across all media and marketing platforms

Social and Digital Media Strategy and content

Develop and implement a media engagement strategy and proactively engage with media outlets

Enhance fundraising and engagement events through the development and implementation of events, offers, content and effective communication campaigns fundraising campaigns, funding proposals and presentations and associated collateral

Maintain a strong understanding of the NFP competitor landscape and proactively propose initiatives to keep TFC at the forefront

Produce presentations and reports to present plans and progress towards goals to cross-functional partners and leadership; identify KPIs and continuously track and evaluate market research and analysis- using relevant metrics to allow ongoing optimisation of marketing efforts

Develop and implement Event plans for the organisation – sponsorship packages, communication and decision making guidelines, outcome and purpose event communication

Design and implement (in consultation with the CEO) digital fundraising campaigns

Maintain and update TFC’s company website, LinkedIn and Social platforms frequently to ensure all communication and messaging is current. Support the CEO and executive team with their communication.

In collaboration with the Partnerships Manager, develop and maintain market facing Sales/Partnership materials

Selection Criteria

Essential knowledge, experience, skills and personal attributes:

Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in marketing, business, communication, advertising

2+ years’ experience working at management level, driving and implementing brand and communication strategy

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with experience creating and delivering marketing programs in line with larger marketing plans.

Experience in developing and implementing a marketing and brand strategy

High EQ with the ability to build cross-functional relationships across large teams and thrive in fast-paced environment.

Proven experience developing marketing activity and collateral, digital programs, and events that support both brand development and lead generation

Understanding of the needs of vulnerable communities, particularly in the areas of domestic and family violence or child, youth and family support services.

Understanding of the NFP sector and associated funding environment

Excellent interpersonal and communication and influencing skills, with the ability to connect with the local community, partners and stakeholders.

Strong communication skills with the ability to speak with senior levels and establish long-standing, consultative client relationships

Flexibility to attend out of hours functions and events as required

Hands-on, and committed to exceptional output - Ability to manage conflicting priorities and reliability in meeting deadlines

Current Working with Children’s Check, National Police Check in accordance with TFC policies and procedures

Other requirements:

A commitment to the principles of quality assurance and continuous improvement

Contribute to shaping a respectful, values-led, purpose-driven culture

Current driver's license and willingness to travel
