THE ROLE

The Training Officer is a subject matter expert who is responsible for the internal learning and development needs of the Housing Call Centre (HCC).

The role is responsible to assess training and development needs, develop innovative and tailored training packages and deliver training including onboarding of new staff as well as enhancing the technical skills of existing HCC employees and teams. The Training Officer is required to adapt to individual learning styles and provide accessible content in a timely manner.

In addition to the creation and delivery of training, the role is also required to create and manage internal process documents in line with operational processes and department policies, as well as oversee the HCC's knowledge-based system Hank.

The Training Officer will work within a team of VPS3's and may at times be utilised to assist in other tasks to meet the business demands.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

  1. Assist in training needs analysis of individual employees and teams to ensure learning and development offerings align with the needs of the organisation.
  2. Assist with the development, management, and delivery of training and professional development. Monitor, evaluate and review the effectiveness of training and development programs and activities.
  3. Assist in the evaluation of professional development initiatives and recommend opportunities for improvement.
