About the Opportunity
A well-known Australian TAFE is seeking an experienced Hospitality Trainer and Assessor to deliver the SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management to international students at a partner college in Chennai, India.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a skilled trainer with strong industry experience to deliver high-quality Australian vocational education offshore, supporting students on their journey to a career in the global hospitality industry.
About the Role
As the Hospitality Trainer and Assessor, you will:
Deliver and assess the SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management using Australian TAFE resources and systems.
Facilitate engaging, industry-aligned training for students in an English-taught program.
Maintain compliance with ASQA and TAFE quality standards in all aspects of delivery and assessment.
Support student learning through mentoring, feedback, and progress monitoring.
Collaborate with local and Australian-based education teams to ensure smooth program delivery.
Role Details
Full-time position: 35 hours per week
Contract length: 12 months (4-week notice period)
Start date: September 2025
Delivery: On campus in Chennai, India
Industry placements: Arranged with leading 5-star hotels in Chennai
About You
You are a passionate and qualified hospitality professional who takes pride in delivering training that inspires and supports student success.
Essential Requirements:
Diploma of Hospitality Management or higher qualification
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40122) — TAE10 accepted under current ASQA policy
Minimum 3 years post-qualification industry experience
Proven ability to train and assess in English to diverse learners
Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
Sound understanding of compliance and quality assurance in training delivery
