Through culturally grounded, strength-based programs, Gugan Gulwan provides prevention and early intervention supports that ensure the voices of First Nations peoples guide every initiative and outcome.
We’re seeking an inspiring and hands-on Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO) a leader who embodies integrity, cultural humility, and community commitment. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving the organisation’s growth, strength, and sustainability.
You’ll lead operational excellence and organisational development, ensuring that systems, services, and governance are culturally grounded, community-informed, and outcome-driven. The DCEO will balance strategy with delivery overseeing staff, service performance, compliance, and financial management while fostering an inclusive, accountable, and high-performing culture.
What You’ll Bring.
- Deep respect for and understanding of First Nations cultures and communities.
- Senior leadership experience in community, not-for-profit, or Aboriginal community-controlled organisations.
- Proven skills in governance, financial management, and program delivery.
- A collaborative, values-led approach that strengthens relationships across community, government, and sector partners.
