About the Centre

Numdaji Kwei Children’s Centre is a purpose-built facility offering quality care for up to 44 children daily. Nestled on the leafy grounds of RMIT University Bundoora, it boasts a picturesque semi-rural setting surrounded by heritage-listed redgums. Our dedicated and experienced staff provide care and education for children aged 3 months to school age, creating a warm and welcoming environment with our open-door policy for all families.

The Role

The Board of Management at Numdaji Kwei Children's Centre is looking for a Diploma Qualified Educator to join our team as a group leader for our Nursery room, starting on 9th January 2026. This full-time position involves working in our Nursery room with 8 children aged between 3 months and 2 years. The role offers a 9-day fortnight and above-award wages. Applicants must be available for rotating shifts between 7:45 am and 6:00 pm.

Applicants must have the following skills:

Minimum Diploma in Children Services

Must have previous experience working in Early Childhood

Ability to develop and implement a high-quality program cycle

Sound understanding of Regulations and Act as well as the NQF and EYLF

A positive and motivated attitude towards children’s learning and development

Current Working with Children Check

Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates

Able to create a safe and fun environment for the children that is engaging and educational

A positive and motivated attitude towards children's learning and development

Strong communication skills

Strong computer skills
